Purchasing Guide
Everything you need to know about purchasing artwork, payment, packaging, delivery and collecting your new artwork.
Purchasing Your Artwork
Purchasing original artwork online should be straightforward and secure.
Select the artwork you would like to purchase, add it to your basket and complete your order through the website checkout. Your payment for the artwork is processed securely at checkout.
New and Recently Completed Works
Newly completed artworks may require additional drying or curing time before they are ready to be safely packaged and dispatched. Works that are already fully dry and ready for dispatch can generally be prepared promptly.
If additional drying or curing time is required, this will be taken into account before the artwork is shipped. Your expected dispatch timing will be confirmed after your order.
Secure Payments
Payment for your artwork is completed securely through the available payment options at checkout.
How payment works
- Select your artwork.
- Add it to your basket.
- Proceed to checkout.
- Enter your delivery details.

For South African deliveries, the delivery charge is quoted separately after your purchase.
For international deliveries, available shipping options and their costs are calculated through TUNL at checkout.
After Your Purchase
Once your order has been received, the artwork is prepared for collection or dispatch.
The preparation time depends on the artwork. Works that are already fully dry can generally be prepared promptly, while newly completed works may require additional drying or curing time.
Collection
Collection is available by prior arrangement.
Once your artwork is ready, a collection time can be arranged from the studio. Collection details are provided privately with your order and are not displayed publicly on the website.
Shipping & Delivery
Every artwork is carefully prepared and securely packaged before it leaves the studio.
South African Delivery
Local delivery is available throughout South Africa. A personalised delivery quote will be arranged after your purchase, based on the artwork, packaging requirements and delivery destination.
South African delivery is currently handled manually through our specialist art-transport partner. This allows us to accommodate different artwork formats, including A4 to A0 works and custom-size canvases, rather than treating every artwork as a standard parcel.
Once your artwork is ready for dispatch, the courier collection will be arranged. Approximately one day’s notice is required for collection.
Estimated Transit Time
Transit time begins once the artwork has been collected:
- Gauteng: up to 1 business day
- Rest of South Africa: up to 3 business days
Please note: artwork preparation, drying or curing time is separate from courier transit time.
International Delivery
International orders are shipped through TUNL, with available delivery options and shipping costs calculated at checkout.
TUNL provides live international shipping options through the website checkout. Where supported, applicable duties and taxes are also calculated as part of the international shipping process.
International shipping is arranged once the artwork is ready for dispatch.
Once the order is ready, the shipment is transferred to TUNL for fulfilment and tracking.
Delivery Quotes
Artwork varies considerably in size, weight, format and packaging requirements.
South Africa
Your local delivery charge is quoted after purchase.
The quotation takes into account:
- Artwork size
- Packaging requirements
- Packed dimensions
- Weight
- Collection location
- Delivery destination
- Appropriate transport requirements
This approach also allows us to accommodate custom-size artwork and larger works appropriately.
International
International delivery options and shipping costs are calculated through TUNL at checkout.
Careful Preparation
Every artwork is carefully prepared for its journey.
Depending on the artwork, preparation may include:
- Protective surface covering
- Protective wrapping
- Corner protection
- Foam or protective board
- Reinforced outer packaging
- Protective boxes for flat artwork
- Suitable tubes for artwork intended for rolled transport
- Secure internal support
- Identification and shipping documentation
The packaging method is selected according to the artwork’s size, format and transport requirements.
Professional Packaging
Original artwork requires appropriate protection during transport.
Flat artwork may be securely packaged in protective boxes, while artwork suitable for rolled transport may be packaged in an appropriate protective tube.
Custom-size canvases are assessed individually, allowing the packaging to be selected according to the actual dimensions and requirements of the artwork.
For larger or particularly delicate works, additional protective measures may be used.
Newly Completed Works
Some newly completed paintings require additional drying or curing time before they can be safely packaged and transported.
Newly completed artworks will only be dispatched once they are ready for safe transport.
Works that are already fully dry and ready for dispatch can generally be prepared promptly.
This means that the artwork preparation period and courier transit period are separate.
Delivery Times
Delivery times depend on the artwork’s readiness, destination and selected delivery service.
